Laksh Sandhu
Architect & Interior Designer in India, He/him
As an architecture enthusiast, I consider myself to be a generalist. I am interested in all architectural typologies and steps in the architectural process. Whether it is designing a small scale object like a furniture through sketches and model making or working on thousand square meter building with software. I am always interested in seeing how spaces manifest from an initial idea to the final stage.
Work Experience
As a project lead for Project 810, my day-to-day tasks involved overseeing the team's work on out-of-the-box design projects. I collaborated with team members to develop innovative and visionary design concepts, ensuring that every aspect of the project is thoroughly considered and executed to the highest quality.
During my six-month tenure at Homelane, I served as a design partner. My primary responsibility was to engage clients and convince them to collaborate with us for their home interior projects. Once onboarded, I meticulously prepared drawings and designs for their modular interiors. Subsequently, I oversaw the execution of these designs on-site, ensuring a seamless transformation of their living spaces.
During my work experience at Design Ethics, I had the incredible opportunity to immerse myself in a diverse range of projects, both small and large scale. My time there allowed me to explore various aspects of design, from high-end residential architecture and interiors to commercial buildings and bespoke furniture designs.
I had the privilege of working at Hoxton & Urban's Noida office, a globally renowned firm headquartered in London. During my tenure, I made significant contributions to several prestigious projects, including the iconic Tiffany & Co. and the luxurious The Terrace in Wimbledon. My exceptional work ethic and attention to detail helped elevate the quality and success of these projects, showcasing my ability to deliver outstanding results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment."
During my internship at ADP's Delhi office, I had the amazing opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on three large-scale government projects, successfully winning a contract for the prestigious Ambala Cantt's Guest House project. In addition, I undertook two small-scale interior projects independently, including furniture selection. This immersive experience allowed me to gain invaluable insights into design, development, tender management, and the practical aspects of bringing creative visions to life.
